I love the Fall Season. I love taking walks in the crisp Autumn air, the smell of pumpkin bread baking in the oven, the leaves changing colors on the trees, the decorations. I love the Fall because it hosts one of my favorite holidays: Thanksgiving – a time where people reflect on things they are thankful for.
Last year during the month of November, my husband and I noticed a lot of people on Facebook sharing their “30 Days of Thankfulness”. Maybe you were even one of them!
This sparked a little discussion in our home. Oh, it was nice seeing things people were thankful for, but what if we looked for something we are thankful for every day of the year?
I’ll be the first to admit, there are days that are difficult to be thankful. Life is hard! But as the saying goes, “There is always, always, always something to be thankful for”. Even more, the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Give thanks in ALL circumstances.“
Having a heart of thanksgiving is a choice. When we have a thankful, grateful heart, we can have a more content and joyful heart!
So as we begin the month of October tomorrow, I will begin to share my “365 Days of Blessings”. I would LOVE for you to not only follow me on this journey, but also to join me! As I share my blessings, the things I’m thankful for, feel free to share yours as well either in the comment section of each post, or on my Facebook page, An Everyday Blessing.
Let’s be an encouragement to each other as we foster a heart of thankfulness, having an attitude of gratitude each and every day!
